Extended hours appointments
The Richmond General Practice Alliance (RGPA) uses Vision software to offer extended hours appointments. Appointments at four care hubs can be booked from 08:00 to 20:00 seven days a week. The project makes 1,100 additional appointments available each week. As a result, the outcomes and health of the Richmond population are improving.
Sharing appointments and patient records
Receptionists across Richmond can book any patient into an extended hours appointment. GPs working at the four care hubs can see all 200,000 patient records. The GPs like it because they can see full patient records for everyone.
There are 22 practices in Richmond using Vision and 5 running EMIS. The RGPA was the first UK GP federation to have interoperability between the two systems.
